About
GK (aka Grace Kenny aka Greatness Known) is a spoken-word poet, hip hop artist and performer shaped by the rugged coastline of south-west Victoria.
Sharing her stories through song from before she could even talk, GK finds her inspiration in emotion - transforming lived experience into powerful, uplifting hip hop and commentary on the human experience.
Confident, powerful & articulate, her writing digs deep, revealing GK's past, present & future, while paying homage to musical and performing greats.
Launching into the Australian music scene in 2024, GK has been spotlighted as a triple J Unearthed Feature Artist, capturing national attention with her debut single Dynamite and connecting with listeners across the country through radio and digital platforms.
Her live performance credits include Triple J's One Night Stand, where she brought her explosive energy to a crowd of thousands, as well as Port Fairy Folk Festival, Desert Harmony Festival and AbilityFest, sharing stages with artists such as G Flip, The Waifs, Ruel, Ocean Alley and Sarah Blasko. There's an undeniable magnetism that draws audiences to GK - in small rooms or in front of huge festival crowds - as comfortable onstage whether in Melbourne or Tennant Creek.
Looking ahead to 2026, GK will release her highly anticipated next single "Jungle", showcasing her continued evolution as an artist and storyteller. In the same year, she's slated to return to the Port Fairy Folk Festival and to perform at Sidney Myer Music Bowl with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra alongside the Find Your Voice Collective.
"Writing and performing gives me a chance to get everything out that I need to say & I'm on the way to becoming my best. I would like words & my music to be an inspiration to other people with Down Syndrome, & also to people who don't have a disability, to not be afraid of what they could become." - GK
